Update - half an hour later
OMG - it's done already!! Impossible
When I posted about the kiriban, we were at 1882 something,... I thought it would still take a few days. And half an hour later, I found a note in my mailbox that someone caught the exact 2000pageviews
Marvellous people, I love it!
The more people come and visit, to enjoy and use my stock, the more I like making and uploading more!

omg - a DD - yay
a DD for Modern Art Lake View [link] What a nice surprise!! And so totally unexpected.
Not only comes this DD within just a little more than 3 months after I started this stock account ... it is also given to a deviation I would have least expected it from... I've even hesitated whether I should upload it at all.
I can see though that it is chosen, not so much for what it is, but for what it can become in the hands of talented artists
Thank you so much to ^Hanratty-Stock, not only for the DD and for seeing the potential of this picture, but also for the help I received when setting up this account - by note, and through your helpful tutorials!
And thank you, all my visitors and friends, for your support and friendship, and for using my stock! it's a pleasure and a joy to belong to this community

Even more stock material coming up

Sure, I am working hard, but I still have loads of pics to upload... more than I can actually cope with

You can expect in the coming days and weeks:

many more zoo - pics, with among others a few gorgeous series about courting giraffes, zebra's, waterfall, and kangaroos with young - Ooh, and I almost forgot... A variety of 'little dragons' too

lots of 'Abundant May' nature photographs that didn't make it further than their preparation-folder yet

In the 'this is Holland collection' - many more photographs from Weesp, with old-holland houses, windmills and more...

Also made in Weesp, but I will upload them separately... a series of Great Crested Grebe, carrying it's young on it's back...

A set of Utrecht city pics, with among others a middle ages cloister gallery with herb garden.

And I definitely also want to start uploading some of my Indian Temple photographs some time soon ...

I probably will switch from the one to the other, to have some variety myself too

Orchids in Frog Land

Oh, I must admit that I really had a blast yesterday when I discovered that the little grassland at the Reed Corner, where I photographed the King Cups [link] and the Reeds [link] earlier this year, now had turned into a real orchids paradise... There are certainly 2, and perhaps 3 different species, and I will do some effort still to determine them, but I just couldn't wait to already upload this little series in lovely purple and dark pink colours...

Edited: Orchid species
One species certainly is the Western Marsh Orchid (Rietorchis)- Dactylorhiza majalis praetermissa [link] and possibly also a hybrid.
I think there is Heath Spotted-orchid (Gevlekte Orchis [link] ) among them too, but am not sure.
Any orchid specialist among my watchers or visitors ?

OK, so while I will continue photographing on my (more or less daily) walks, and will continue to have loads of new photographs to submit, I also hope to continue scanning and uploading some of my older pics from travels and holidays. And since I do not have really big preference in which ones I would like to process first, I could as well ask you what series you would be most interested in...
I had a quick look through my collection, and here are some of the choices:

a Indonesia Temples (Borobudur, Pranbanam, ++)

b Indonesia Nature - landscapes - people

c Prague (Czech Republic) - Cultural Historical City pics

d Tirol (Austria) - mountain, nature and culture pics

They all will get their turn, eventually, but if there are any subjects you're particularly interested in, do let me know - I'll start with the ones most asked for!

Journal Entry May 30, 2008 : Catching up

Yes, you will have noticed, I've been submitting quite some new photographs lately, since I am trying to catch up with all the pics that are still waiting for processing and uploading, and to make space on my harddisk for new ones ...

I uploaded the last 'Early Spring' - pics, I think - and just started the 'Abundant May' collection.

No further announcements, since I truly don't know yet what themes will come into my hands first, but you can count on it... more to come!

I may well give you a choice as to what to upload first soon... So keep an eye on this journal!
