Dutch steam engine museum
Medeblik - The Netherlands

On our sightseeing tour through North Holland and West-Friesland, following the Koggen-route, we also passed at the Steam Engine Museum in Medemblik.
From the folder:
“The Dutch Steam engine museum shows, through working examples, the exciting historic development of the steam engine.
Steam engines played an major role in the Industrial Revolution. Most of the engines have since been replaced by other forms of power, but luckily we have still some of these fine machines assembled in the former Steam Pumping station “Vier Noorder Koggen”
There are many engines regulary shown working, including the original pumping engine. “
We didn’t go inside, but took the time to make some pics of the building and of the machines displayed outside. Don't ask me what they all are, I truly don't know....
